Having personally written thousands of Internet articles I understand from a position of experience how it can be easy to procrastinate sitting down and writing. One thing that is helpful is having an outline for quick article writing.

Here are a few tips I have found helpful when it comes to writing articles and getting them done quickly.

1. Swipe file. This is the easiest way to never run out of article ideas.

Whenever you come across something interesting, that you think would make a good article, save it online in your swipe. Then you can refer back to your file and come up with a quick article idea.

I subscribe to various online newsletters and get ideas from them. I get a lot of email and if something catches my attention in the subject line I might copy that verbatim and post it in my swipe file.

I also get a lot of ideas from discussion forums. Hot topics are always good for future articles.

2. Bullet points. I like to write numbered list articles.

Rather than write the article from top to bottom I will list three or four main points that become the foundation for my article. This also helps keep the article focused.

3. Short intro paragraph. An easy way to do this is to describe a problem your reader might be having, and how you are going to solve that in your article.

4. Body. Expand on the bullet points with two or three sentences. If you are writing a short blog article you might only need one sentence per bullet point.

If you write a 400 word article you might need two to three sentences. If you are trying to write a longer article you can just add more sentences to each point.

5. Short closing paragraph. Summarize exactly what you have just written about and how you have solved the problem you described in your opening paragraph. Many readers on the Internet will scan bullet points and read the summary.

6. Multi-functional bio box. This allows you to write on a broad range of topics and change the keywords and URL you are hyperlinking to.

You want to have your name in the resource box as this helps for branding you. Think of your resource box as a classified ad and include any special offer that would entice somebody to click on your website URL.

I have gotten to where I can write a 400 word article on virtually any topic in about 15 minutes or less depending on the amount of research needed. If you follow these steps to quick article writing you will find it's easier to overcome procrastination and sit down and quickly write the article you know you should.
